We often spend our lives waiting for the "right time" to feel whole, or we carry the weight of believing something is "fundamentally" wrong with us; leaving us living in a way that isn't entirely true to ourselves. My name is Lindsey Salloway and I founded Legacy Counselling and Wellness on a simple but profound belief: you are already whole however, sometimes life's challenges, transitions, or old stories get in the way of seeing this. By focusing on nurturing ourselves now, we can work toward building the future that we want for ourselves and our loved ones.

We are everything rolled into one and when we can bring harmony to all parts of us, we can live our best lives today and leave the legacy that we want for ourselves and our loved ones. Through compassionate and authentic care, it is my goal to build the relationship with you that will help you to build a strong relationship with yourself and others in your life. By nurturing the now, we are building for the future.

I am available virtually to residents of Alberta and Ontario. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) in good standing with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), Member #11254759. I am also a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), Registration #18885.

I take a humanistic, trauma-informed approach, meaning our relationship is the heart of our work together. I don't believe that individuals carry symptoms that need to be fixed rather, I see a human being navigating a complex world in which their story is entirely unique. I integrate evidence-based tools tailored to this unique story:

- Narrative Therapy: To understand your story and rewrite stories that no longer serve you
- Internal Family Systems (IFS): To explore the different parts of who you are and to allow your core self to come forward
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): To build mindfulness, emotional regulation, and psychological flexibility
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT): To shift patterns in your thoughts and your most important relationships
